Amb Uzoh IfeanyiChukwu Costas

Uzoh, Ifeanyi C, is a Chemical Engineer by Profession and a United Nations Certified Youth Development Expert by aptitude with over Twenty (20) years of wealth of experience.

He has published articles in Journals, Newsletters and attended several National & International Youth Programs as a Participant / Delegate / Resource Person which has earned him numerous travels outside the Country with top Government Officials, sponsored by the Federal Government and United Nations to different parts of the World (cutting across all the Continents) advocating for Youth Empowerment in Nigeria and Africa at large.

Recognizing that Young People are necessary Agent for Change and Sustainable Development, He has initiated and organized several seminars, workshops and lecture series for Young People and Students within and Outside Nigeria. He has carryout series of Research Work and Consulting assignment on Youth Development for a wide spectrum of International Agencies and National Governments in Africa, especially the United Nations System, the World Bank, the Commonwealth and the National Democratic Institute NDI Africa,

He has managed several International Youth Platforms for Development Partners in the past such as:

  • Nigeria Coordinator - World Bank - Youth Development & Peace (YDP), 2005 - 2006
  • Country Facilitator – National Democratic Institute (NDI International), Youth Program 2006 - 2007
  • Africa Coordinator - UNHCR – African Youth Peace Ambassadors Program, 2007 – 2009
  • Nigeria Focal Person - Commonwealth Youth Program – 2020 - 2021


Uzoh has been the Principal Convener of the African Youth Peace Conference to commemorate the United Nations International Day for Peace, which was held in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2012 in Nigeria, Liberia, Egypt and Kenya respectively. All sponsored by the United Nations and the World Bank.

Remarkably, in 2011, he facilitated the first ever United Nations African Urban Youth Assembly held in Abuja and in early 2016, he again facilitated the United Nations African Urban Youth Roundtable also held in Abuja as a pre-event to the United Nations Habitat 3 Conference, fully sponsored by the United Nations and the Federal Government.

He seats on the Board of a number of reputable Youth Platforms within and outside Nigeria and currently occupies the following position(s):
  • Country Coordinator, UN-HABITAT Youth Program – Nigeria
  • Member, Advisory Board, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN)
  • President, Centre for Advocacy & Development in Africa CADA
  • Chairman, Board of Trustees, Youth Employment Association of Nigeria (UN- ILO)
  • Chairman, Nigeria Advisory Board, Nigerian Youth Compact on COVID-19
  • Member, Presidential National Habitat Advisory Council.


He was recently appointed Nigeria Representative – United Nations SDG Youth
