Dr Peter Ayim

Dr. Ayim competence spans over Managerial/Administrative, Business Development, Human Resource Development and Training, Consulting, Marketing Communications – Public Relations, Advertising, Branding, Concept Development, Identification and development of opportunities and the provision of various specialist and interdisciplinary inputs.
Dr. Ayim is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Certified Business Advisor (CBA) and a Licensed National Business Development Service Provider (BDSP). He is Principal Consultant/CEO of MSME Business Development Services Limited.
Dr. Ayim is a Development Practitioner with special passion for entrepreneurship and MSME development. He is the Founder and President, Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce, Founder and President/CEO, Nigerian Youth Volunteers, Founder and President of International Youth Development Initiative, Founder, Business Development Service Providers of Nigeria (BUDSPAN), Chair, World Youth Chamber of Commerce and Founder, Technical Vocational Education and Training Providers of Nigeria.
Dr. Ayim is a Social Researcher, Certified Entrepreneurship Trainer and Business Coach, Writer and Author. He co-edited Policies of the Federal Republic of Nigeria – “The Obasanjo Years”, Authored “The Nigerian Youth Development Handbook”, He is currently working on “Business Development Service (BDS) Reference Handbook for Practitioners”, Understanding Youth Entrepreneurship, StartUp Enterprises (Averting the Pitfalls), Understanding the Concepts of Social Entrepreneurship and Volunteerism and also “Every Minutes Counts” – a Time Management Handbook for the Nigerian Youth among others.
Dr. Ayim was an Executive Director and Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for Policy Research and Development and a Vice President of Sustainable Development in Africa Network (SUDANET).
Dr. Ayim had a distinguished career in banking, development consulting, mining, information and marketing communication sector with a cumulative work experience spanning a over two decades. He previously served as Manager, Administration at River Oaks, Drake and Sweeny Limited, a Consulting Firm, Abuja and was the General Manager, Makeri Smelting Company Limited, Jos.
Between 2011 to 2014, Dr. Ayim, was Technical Assistant to the SSA to President on Youth and Student Affairs and between 2015 to 2018 served as, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai on Vocational Training and Skills Acquisition, served as a member of the 2015 Kaduna State Transition Committee of the Governor Elect.
Dr. Ayim had also previously served on various Committees among which are; Member, National Youth Policy Formulation and Review – Federal Ministry of Youth Development, Member, First National Policy on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Member, Nigeria in Diaspora Conference, Nigeria National Volunteer Service. Dr. Ayim was also the Head of Country Operations and CSO Coordinator, African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council (AU ECOSOCC) Nigeria.
Dr. Ayim holds an Executive Doctorate in Business Management (DBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations, an Advanced Diploma in Public Administration and an Advanced Certificate in Management.
Dr. Ayim is an astute team player and enjoys sharing knowledge. He has attended and presented series of papers on varying subjects at several forums.
